HAIL offers writing workshops, residencies and events for emerging and professional writers and artists through our acclaimed literary journal Paj Ntaub Voice and the Hmong Storytelling Project. Emerging and professional writers and artists are invited to create new literary and visual artwork for debut in Paj Ntaub Voice, participate in public readings, and exhibit their work in galleries and shows throughout the Twin Cities of Minnesota. HAIL provides opportunities for writers to practice and improve their craft by learning from seasoned Hmong authors in a supportive and creative environment. Residencies offer established artists stipends to work in the schools as teaching artists. In the Hmong Storytelling Project, artists are invited to work with a Hmong elder artist to record and create new works of art that define the Hmong American experience. HAIL is a resource for the community and artists and is involved with a number of collaborative initiatives with local community groups and organizations.
